Fall is the season for slow evenings: a blanket, a warm drink, the first early sunset — and something to do with your hands that is not a screen. These fall coloring pages for adults are made for exactly that.
There is no outline to follow. Each page is a field of tiny numbered dots on black paper, and a color key at the bottom. Match each symbol to its color, fill the dot, and an autumn picture slowly rises out of the dark. You only find out what it is while you color.
How these fall color by number pages work
Every dot carries a small symbol. The color key tells you which color belongs to it — the same 24-color key across the whole series, so one set of pencils is enough for every page.
The black areas are already printed. You only fill the light dots, one at a time. There is no wrong order: start in a corner, start in the middle, stop whenever you like.
Build a cozy fall coloring corner
A chair by the window, a lamp with warm light, a clipboard so the page stays flat on your lap. Keep your pencils in a tin within reach and sort out the oranges, reds, golds and browns first — fall pages use them most.
Thanksgiving week is a good time to print a few pages at once: they are a quiet activity for the evenings, and a finished page makes a surprisingly nice November table card.

The best pencils for black paper

Colored pencils. The safest choice: they never bleed through, layer nicely and keep every small dot clean.
Markers. The boldest dots. Alcohol markers can soak through any paper — always slip a spare sheet behind the page you are coloring.
Gel pens and colored pens. Bright, smooth and precise in small dots. Let each dot dry for a second before your hand moves over it.
